Trauma Plate for Mounting on the Front and Back of Bulletproof Vests

EA Multi Curved Trauma Plate IV ICW (AL203) is designed to fit our bulletproof and stab-resistant vests, Impact and Xtreme, which you can find here. This trauma plate is made with a core of high-density ceramic (Al2O3), supported by layered polymer composite fiber.

The plate has been tested against, among other things, an AK47 – see details of the test below. The trauma plate features a multi-curve shape, meaning it is delivered as a single unit for easy and direct insertion into the vest. The curved design provides an advantage in terms of fit and comfort, as the plate follows the body's natural contours.

ICW (In Conjunction With) indicates that the trauma plate should be used alongside "Soft Body Armor," which are bulletproof vests at level IIIA, to achieve the specified level of protection. The trauma plate weighs from 2.1 kg.

The trauma plate has been tested against the following threats:

• Tested against 6 shots from 7.62*39mm AK47 MSC with cartridges having a specific mass of 7.7g and an impact of 740m/s according to NIJ std 0101.06 and 5.56x45 Nato according to international tests.
